Meridian Idaho Temple
May 30, 2018
We left Spanish Fork, Utah this morning and drove almost 400 miles to the Meridian Idaho Temple. We stopped in Eagle Idaho to see my wonderful mission president, Ted Johnson and his amazing wife Jan. I haven’t seen them in 40 years.
Ted filled a wonderful void in my life when my father passed away when I was on my mission nine months. I believe one of the main reasons I was assigned to the Missouri Independence Mission is because that’s where Ted was.
Before we arrived we stopped for lunch at an A&W drive-in. I love their big straws and their root beer freezes!
My mom was particularly thrilled with the coleslaw!
I loved seeing my mission president again. He had such a big impact on my life!
The Meridian Temple was fabulous. A gorgeous rainbow showed up afterwards. We did sealings for about 30 minutes and the temple workers were terrific! My mother was thrilled as the names we did were ones that she submitted.
This is my ninth temple this year and my 32nd since I started Mormontempletrek.com. We were anxious to get to the Boise Temple before it closed! We were successful.
