ABOUT

Why Mormon Temple Trek?

Mormon Temple Trek is about my visits to LDS temples throughout the world.  Follow me as I visit various Mormon temples.   My blog records my experiences.  It is a great adventure!

Some people might ask why go visit all these temples?  The answer is more than just “…because they’re there.”

A Mormon temple is the most sacred place in the world to members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  We believe our temples are literally the House of the Lord.  Because of that, they are built without holding back.

These buildings, and the ordinances that are done inside, represent the most holy information God gives to men and women on earth.  Visiting them gives me spiritual strength and some insight into how God designs His homes.

Some people visit National League baseball parks throughout the United States.  Still others visit the Super Bowl stadiums.  I visit God’s houses.  They are the best-built and most spiritual buildings in the world, in my opinion.

Mormon temple trek is fun!
Visiting the Manti Utah Temple in February 2018.

As of today, March 3, 2018, there are 160 operating temples, 8 under construction, and 15 that have been announced.  So, the total is 183 temples throughout the world.

The Church also has over 400 chapels under construction around the world.  In all, we’re completing one-and-a-half new buildings each day.  That’s a lot of construction!
