Atlanta Georgia Temple

There’s a lot of healing that takes place inside a  temple owned by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including spiritual healing, emotional healing, and even physical healing.

Well apparently that healing also applies to the parking lot.

For about 1200 miles on this multi-state, multi-temple visiting trip my “check engine” light has been on.  The owners manual says it could be something minor, like a loose gas cap, but it also said if it starts to blink you’ve got a serious problem and you need to take it into a dealership right away. So for 1200 miles I’ve been hoping that light didn’t start to blink.

When I came out from the Atlanta temple this morning the check engine light didn’t come on.  70 miles later as I’m now driving towards Augusta Georgia the light is still off.

Thank you Lord!

I drove from Birmingham Alabama to Atlanta Georgia last night and arrived around midnight.  My plan was to just sleep in the truck until the 8 AM opening of the temple. But when I saw where the temple was located I realized that finding a secluded place to sleep in the truck was not going to be easy.  So I checked into a Holiday Inn Express and paid about $85 for a good nights sleep. It was well worth it.

I grabbed the free hotel breakfast then headed a couple of blocks over to the temple. I ended up doing some initiatory work and then spent a few minutes in the celestial room.

One of the temple workers in the initiatory area had a beautiful, deep, voice with a perfect southern drawl.  I felt right at home in Atlanta listening to him!

I’m now headed 240 miles east to Columbia South Carolina. The Atlanta temple is my 44th temple visited since January 2017 and my 6th temple visited on what I’m calling my White Friday Tour.

With any luck I’ll get a photo of the Augusta National Golf Club before I cross into South Carolina.
