Denver Colorado Temple
One of the benefits of flying from Salt Lake to Washington, D.C. is that the flight stops in Denver. That gave me time to visit the Denver Temple.
It’s built right in the middle of a residential neighborhood. If you take one step off the temple grounds you’re almost in a neighbor’s driveway. It’s actually pretty cool!
I loved the salmon-colored walls inside. I also liked how a member of the temple presidency (and his wife) shook hands with everyone prior to the session. That was a nice touch.
The grounds are very clean. The temple is about 20 minutes south of downtown Denver, which surprised me.
I also liked the A&W/KFC just a few blocks from the temple. I went there afterwards for a mashed potato bowl and a root beer freeze, which they don’t make back east. Loved it!
