Fort Lauderdale Florida Temple

Fort Lauderdale Florida Temple

I knew this was going to be a great trip when I got to gate D 11 at the BWI airport and discovered that the new Dunkin’ Donuts was open for business!

❤️ these sour cream donuts with milk!

Then I discovered two dice lying on the ground and decided to pick them up, thinking it might be my lucky day!

🍀🍀🎲🎲

Once on board the flight I sat across from three Spirit Airlines flight attendants and I just had to take their picture.

I’ll take yellow for the win!

One of the great things about flying to Fort Lauderdale is that you’re crossing the Atlantic Ocean for much of the way.

That’s a lot of water!

Then you get closer to Fort Lauderdale and you see all the beautiful homes next to all of the incredible water and it makes you want to move!

I could live down there…👍

From the airport I got a $59 room at the Red Carpet Inn and hopped on their hotel shuttle. I wish I would’ve brought a swimming suit so I could have enjoyed their beautiful pool!

Where’s my suit?

One thing I did enjoy was their big burger in the restaurant and the fries were great too!

Yuuummmm…🍔🍟

From there it was an Uber ride to the temple about 20 minutes away.

When I walked in I was really impressed with the large floor rug that was there. It was colored in a dull avocado type green representing the Sawgrass from this area. When the brother behind the recommend desk found out it was my first time there he asked me if I’d like a photo of the temple. I said sure, thinking he would give me one of the small cards that has the temple picture on the front of it. Instead he pulled out an 8 1/2 by 11 color print of the temple and gave that to me. That’s the first time in 51 temples that anyone has done something like that!

I loved this free photo! A great idea!

I attended the 6:15 session. I loved sitting in the muraled room that makes you feel like you’re on the beaches of Fort Lauderdale. Afterwords a lady that attended the session with me took my photo outside the temple.

Don’t you love that sky?

This is my 51st temple visited since January 2017. The last time I was in Fort Lauderdale this temple was under construction. It was very nice to actually be able to go through this gorgeous building!
