Nashville Tennessee Temple
I drove about 190 miles last night from Louisville Kentucky to Nashville Tennessee. When I arrived it was 1:30 in the morning. I pulled into the empty stake center parking lot and parked under a tree.
I cleared out the back of my cab and laid out and went to sleep in my sleeping bag. It was 32° outside.
The temple is right next to the stake center. They are both about the same size.
I was awakened by some kind of tapping on my truck window. I thought it was maybe a security guard checking to see who was there but instead it turned out to be a beautiful cardinal. He was fascinated by his reflection in the sideview mirror.

I grabbed breakfast at McDonald’s and had my go-to hotcakes and sausage meal which I don’t have very often. It was great!
I was able to join the 10 o’clock endowment session. It was wonderful. I noticed the decor in the endowment room was more simplified and less ornate. It probably saved us a few bucks!
I was very impressed with a temple worker who was wheelchair-bound. He was very thin but look top-notch dressed in his whites. I also noticed that the man conducting our session had lost an index finger on his left hand. It’s amazing what kind of challenges people have to deal with. Still, they serve with happiness.
After the session I found an inexpensive hotel with a king size bed just a few miles from the temple. I was delighted to just crash and relax. I have visited four temples in four states in two days. I have driven about 1000 miles.
The Nashville Temple is my 42nd temple visited since January 2017.
