Red Cliffs Utah Temple

Red Cliffs Utah Temple

My trip to the Red Cliffs Utah Temple started with my $25 airfare from Washington DC to Las Vegas. Thank you, GoWild Pass from Frontier Airlines.
Next, I spent the night in terminal three at the Las Vegas McCarran airport, named after my friend Senator Harry Reid. At 6 AM this morning I boarded the St. George Shuttle and was thrilled that only three people were on it, so I got to lie down and sleep in the backseat. Trust me, I’m not as heavy as I look!

I arrived in St. George around 9:15 AM and took a Lyft ride over to the BIG St. George Red Cliffs Temple. A nice young lady took a photo of me when I arrived.

I did five initiatory ordinances, and then spent some time in celestial room. A couple of colors stood out: lavender, sky blue, and avocado green. I always love waterfalls, and these have some beautiful quiet waterfalls in front of the temple.

I’m also a big fan of the landscaping that we do around the temples. These flowers were gorgeous!

the Red Cliffs Utah Temple is the 20th temple built in the state of Utah and the 189th temple overall. It was announced in October 2018 by President Russell M. Nelson and was dedicated March 24 of 2024 by President Henry B. Eyring. One can’t come to this area of southern Utah on a church adventure without thinking of President and Sister Jeffery R. Holland. Their love of this area and their goodness is pretty much stamped on anything that the Church does down here.

I’m writing this from the foyer of the St. George Shuttle office as I wait to catch the next shuttle taking me north to Salt Lake City. Tonight at 6 PM I’ll be doing an endowment session in the Taylorsville Utah Temple. Then tomorrow morning at 9:30 I’ll do another endowment session in the Layton Utah Temple. After that it’s a flight back to Washington DC!

God bless this wonderful temple work that’s going on around the world! 🌎🙏
