Having done two initiatory names at the Snowflake Arizona Temple, it was now on to the Gila Valley Arizona Temple (another 177 miles) to repeat the performance, hopefully with a few more names! I saw from a distance what appeared to be an old tabernacle

Like all great temple trips, it starts with a good airfare. In this case it was $170 round-trip from Washington DC to Phoenix. The plan was pretty aggressive: arrive in Phoenix at 7:30 AM, visit the Snowflake, Gila Valley, and Tucson temples all in one

January 31, 2018 My wonderful uncle drove me 11 miles from the Mesa Arizona Temple to the Gilbert Arizona Temple so I could attend it.  I ended up doing initiatory work here like I did in the Mesa Temple. I did learn something new also:

January 31, 2018 Going from the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport out to the Phoenix Temple and back this morning cost me about $70 with tips.  My wonderful driver on the return trip with SuperShuttle suggested I take the free airport tram to the metro station

January 31, 2018 Once again, it starts with the airfare: $40 from Washington DC to Denver, $20 to Phoenix, arrive at midnight.  Find a gate with some vacant, non-armrest chairs, lie down, and fall asleep for five hours. I took the SuperShuttle at 5:15 AM
