TIJUANA MEXICO TEMPLE
I flew to San Diego for $86 to visit my awesome aunt and uncle Tafe & Gary Glauser. They are fantastic. High on the agenda was a visit to the Tijuana Temple too.
On the agenda for the first day there was a trip to the Tijuana Mexico Temple. I planned to go to this temple last year but I forgot to bring my passport. This year I got it right!
My uncle Gary came with me. We parked about 5 miles short of the border then took the train to the actual border. Gary bought the tickets. It was $1.25 per person (senior rate!)
A few minutes later we were at the border! No waiting in line with the car; just walk across. It was simple!
Once in Mexico we grabbed a cab for about $20. Not long after that we were at the Tijuana Temple.
The grounds of this temple are once again immaculate! The flowers are particularly impressive.
The temple has a marvelous architecture to it. Brad Colton, a friend of mine, once said it may be the “…most beautiful temple we’ve ever built.” I can see why he would say that. It’s terrific!
I wore the headset to get the Spanish translation. I didn’t mind at all.
After the temple session it was off to a quick tour of Tijuana via the downtown area. We got street tacos for only $2. It was awesome! We drove through the shopping district and then the driver hit the red-light district. We just kept on driving. Tijuana Movie
Once back at the border we walked right across and hopped back on the train.
This is my 38th temple visited since January of 2017. It’s my second Mexican temple visited this year.
I can’t wait to see where I go next!
